THE DOCTORS
The Doctors at Family Dental Associates provide the latest techniques in dental care with the utmost care and consideration in every phase of treatment. They offer a wide range of services, including teeth whitening, tooth-colored fillings and crowns, implants, dentures, non-surgical treatment of gum disease, root canal treatment, laser treatments and smile makeovers.
They are affiliated with the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, the Louisville Dental Society and the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and they exceed the requirements for the number of hours of continuing education required for licensure.

Dr. S Gregory Benanti, DMD (“Dr. B,”) President and CEO of FDA
After receiving his doctorate in 1976 from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Benanti became one of the youngest dentists in the nation. Now, with 35 years of experience and thousands of hours of post-doctorate education, he is leading one of the best dental teams in the nation.
Dr. Mary Herrick, DMD
A native of Louisville, Mary received her undergraduate degree in French from the University of Louisville. She received her doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and completed a post-graduate externship in anesthesia at the University of Miami of Ohio and has been practicing dentistry for 12 years.
Dr. Ronnie Netter, DMD
Born and raised in Louisville, Ronnie received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and his doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2009.
THE HYGIENISTS
The hygienists at FDA are known for their gentle, courteous and informative approach to patient care; you will appreciate their thoroughness and how knowledgeable they are about all things dental. They are an invaluable part of FDA’s team. FDA is proud to have these wonderfully talented hygienists on our team!
Debbie Kaufman, RDH
Debbie joined the FDA team in 1990 after graduating from the University of Louisville School of Dental Hygiene and is a former president, vice-president, editor, treasurer and continuing education coordinator of the Louisville District Dental Hygiene Society.
Bonnie Deason, RDH
Bonnie joined the FDA team in 1999. She received her training at the Coastal Carolina College and has over 20 years of experience. Bonnie has also completed post-graduate training in dental anesthesia.
Penny Webster, RDH
Penny joined the FDA team in 2000 and has 26 years of experience. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisville and her hygiene degree from the University of Louisville School of Dental Hygiene.
Amanda Stober, RDH
Amanda has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisville School of Dental Hygiene and joined the FDA team in 2007. She is also certified in dental anesthesia.
THE DENTAL ASSISTANTS
FDA’s dental assistants have all been certified as Expanded Duty Dental Assistants. This means they have completed a vigorous training regime and examination which allows them to do many tasks that ordinary dental assistants cannot, similar to a physician’s assistant in a medical office. They are an invaluable part of FDA’s team. FDA is proud to have these wonderfully talented EDDAs on our team!
Missy White, EDDA
Missy joined the FDA team in 2007 and received her certification as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant from the University of Louisville.
Amanda Hurley, EDDA
Amanda joined the FDA team in 2007 and received her certification as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant from the University of Louisville in 2000.
Leta Stack, EDDA
Leta joined the FDA team in 2006. She received her certification as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant from the University of Louisville and has 20 years of experience.
THE BUSINESS ASSISTANTS
FDA’s business assistants are the smartest, friendliest, and most knowledgeable in the dental field. They will greet you with a smile and help you with any concerns you may have. They are experts in all aspects of the business of dentistry. They are an invaluable part of FDA’s team. FDA is proud to have these wonderfully talented business assistants on our team!
Angie Tarbis
Angie joined the FDA team 11 years ago. She has over 20 years of experience and is unrivaled in her knowledge of dental insurance and payment plans.
Krista Weltmer
Krista joined the FDA team last year. She has 15 years of experience in customer service and insurance claims processing.
